What FairFix Auto collects, why, and how it's used.
Information we collect
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and phone number. Customers submitting a repair request also provide vehicle details (VIN, make, model, year, mileage), a description of the damage, and photos or video of the vehicle. Shops provide a business name, address, and contact details during registration.
How it's used and shared
Vehicle photos, video, and damage details are shared with repair shops solely so they can prepare a bid. Shops' access to this media is time-limited (see our Terms for the exact window) — they are not permitted to download or retain it beyond that period. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Payments
Payments and platform fees are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details — Stripe handles that directly under its own privacy and security practices.
Signing in with Google
If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google to create and verify your account. We don't post on your behalf or access anything else in your Google account.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics and Contentsquare to understand how people use the site (page views and on-site behavior), and a cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use this data to identify you personally outside of your FairFix account.
We send transactional emails (bid notifications, booking confirmations, billing summaries) related to your use of the platform. We don't sell your email address to third parties.
